Jlab Audio has unveiled the next generation of Epic Bluetooth earbuds called Epic2, for active music listeners. The $100 waterproof and sweat proof Bluetooth in-ear headphones boast 12 hours of battery life that claims to be four hours more than the closest competitor.

To deliver the perfect fit, the Epic2 Bluetooth Earbuds are equipped with JLab’s patent-pending Memory Wire over-ear hooks, cable mini-clips and also eight gel tip sizes that all combine to give the perfect fit. In addition to the single and also double flange gel tips, JLab now provides a shallow tip for smaller ears along with the first-ever custom designed the triple flange to seal in the sound and tune out distractions.

Like many other jlab Bluetooth headphones, the Epic 2’s pair with both Android smartphones and iPhone, and have a standard three-button remote and mic attached to the cable of the earbuds. Most of the times this kind of inline remote can create an imbalance on one side or weigh down earbuds, but these are light and evenly weighted. They have a tangle-resistant, adjustable cable and comes out with eight different gel-tips, so they should fit a variety of ears.

The earbuds have JLab’s proprietary C3 (Crystal Clear Clarity) tech, delivering a clean, crisp sound with vibrant highs, mids and a pumping bass through high-performance 8mm drivers, which are said to be 50 % larger than the nearest competitor.

The Epic 2 come in black, teal/graphite and blue/graphite for a $99.99 suggested retail. The company has dropped the price of the original Epic down to $79.99.
