Introduction back in January at CES 2018, First Alert has opened preorders for its contemporary offering in its Onelink smoke alarm/carbon monoxide family today, Safe & Sound. Further to the traditional smoke and carbon monoxide alarms and HomeKit help, this new product gives an Alexa-enabled smart speaker and is said to finally deliver AirPlay 2 connectivity.

Safe & Sound does require AC hardwiring further to a battery backup. It consists of HomeKit connectivity similarly to Alexa support and gives a customizable night time light.
